Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2016 / Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival 2016

La semana pasada tuvieron lugar las fiestas del Carnaval aquí en la ciudad de Santa Cruz de Tenerife y este año se celebraban bajo el tema de los años 80. El cartel siempre representa una importante parte del Carnaval, y este año el cartel seleccionado fue el realizado por Javier Torres Franquis, que además de impartir clases de diseño en la Universidad, es un gran diseñador de la isla y este año ha sido el responsable de toda la imagen corporativa de estas fiestas, dándole así un aire moderno y renovado que tanta falta le hacía al Carnaval santacrucero.

Así que en base a esto, se celebraba la fiesta del carnaval del 5 al 14 de Febrero con fiestas a pie de calle con música de múltiples estilos para todos los gustos y

galas donde se elegirían las mejores murgas, disfraces y hasta el mejor traje de la Reina del Carnaval.

La semana del Carnaval es una de las más importantes de las islas ya que es una fiesta que tiene repercusión internacional y está catalogado como uno de los mejores del mundo. Además es una fiesta que tiene mucho interés turístico y genera una afluencia de gente de todas partes del mundo que viene a unirse a la gran fiesta junto con la gente local, por lo que se produce una mezcla de culturas interesante. 

A continuación les enseñaré las fotos que realicé del Carnaval. Todas han sido tomadas y editadas por mi, y la verdad me hubiese gustado poder sacar mejores fotos en la fiesta de noche pero llevar la cámara entre la multitud y sacar fotos se volvía una tarea bastante difícil por lo que de noche solo las tomé con el móvil.

Last week it took place the Carnival party here in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and this year the theme was the 80's ! The Carnival poster is an important part of this festivity and this year the selected design was this party fish created by Javier Torres Franquis who is one of the best designers of the island and he has made other works for the carnivals other years. With this poster the image of the Carnivals has been renewed.

So this year the Carnival were on 5th february to 14th and they were party, and music festivals in all places of the city. Also they are so many carnival contests like the Carnival Queen gala were people choose the best Carnival queen costume, and they were so many good and awesome suits with so many feathers and a big decoration.

The Carnivals is one of the most important week of the Canary Islands, because is an international festivity and people from around the world come to get party here with the local people and this is an interesting point for the tourism of the island

Then I'm going to show you the pictures I've take those days in the music festivals and the fun-fair. The only thing is that the night pictures were taken with my phone because taking the camera to the night party and take pictures with it could be a bit difficult and dangerous for the camera so I've had to do it with the camera phone. 

Además de la música y los diferentes ambientes de los que se podía disfrutar en la calle, también se organiza una feria de Carnaval, donde se montan diversas atracciones y puestos de comida y juegos de feria. De esta forma se complementa a los conciertos y fiestas de la calle y ayuda a crear un ambiente mucho más carnavalero.

Besides the music festivals, there was a fun-fair too with so many fairground amusements. So with it the carnival compliments it attractions and helps to get a more festive atmosphere to people who visit the city. 

Durante estas fiestas todo el mundo sale disfrazado a la calle, es la mejor manera de vivir el Carnaval ya que consigues profundizar y sentirte parte del color y la fiesta que inunda la ciudad a lo largo de la semana. En mi caso este año me hice disfraces sencillos, pero se pueden llegar a ver trajes de otras personas realmente elaborados y con un resultado impresionante. Como pueden ver en las fotos, me disfracé de Marsupilami, David Bowie y de chica de los 80.

During this festivity, all people get dressed with fun stuff and costumes and then go out with it, this is the best way to live the Carnivals. In my case I've made some simple costumes but normally you cand find people with very good costumes and professional stuff. As you can see in the pictures, I've made a Marsuplimami, David bowie and Retro girl costumes with my friends.

Y hasta aquí el post sobre el Carnaval. Sin duda es una fiesta que me gusta tanto como a los habitantes de la isla y que siempre vivo con especial ilusión.
